The Oregon
Road Runners Club has been around since 1970. Formed from a group associated
with Trail's End, Oregon's first marathon, they were dedicated to develop and support races in the area, back when
there wasn't a race going on somewhere every weekend. A member of the Road Runners Club of America, the ORRC has
had a hand in the creation of several unique races, including the Portland Marathon and Hood To Coast. A not-for-profit
running club with about 900 members, they direct about 17 races a year, including the Vernonia Half Marathonn,
Pacific Crest Trail 50K
/ 50M, and the Turkey Trot.
