Congratulations to all the finishers of the 2017 Timberline Mt Run! Many thanks goes out to our sponsors and crew for making the race happen, especially Ene Sokk, Joe Tysoe, and Christine Cha.

Here is a link to the 2017 RESULTS. Lawrence Franks, Jr, of Damascus, OR, took first place in a time of 1:11:16, and Chloe Marsh of Richmond, VA, was the first woman at 1:31:36. The top three male and female finishers won growler trophies filled with Mt Hood Brewing Company's finest, and a seventh went to our last-place finisher, because last place is just as important as first.

Joe Tysoe, returning to running after 20 years of cycling, led Team X-Dog to victory in the team competition. Colson Williams of OK Runner finished just ahead of Steve Kerr of Oregon Active in a close race for the second place team, and veteran competitors PDX Amigos battled Rip City Runners for the fourth-place spot. To score points, all teams are required to have at least two finishers, including at least one female participant.

All of our participants deserve recognition for running in to the finish line, as this is a true mountain run, where it's an accomplishment just to finish.

Featured in the August 2014 issue of Runner's World Magazine, this is one of the highest foot races in Oregon, and mile for mile the toughest, as well as one of the top mountain run courses in the US. Covering some technical (but mostly non-technical) trail, mountain slope, and just a bit of road, the race boasts 4000 feet of elevation change over 12K. The course dips below 5000 feet at the low point on the Alpine Trail, and climbs to nearly 7000 feet up to lower Palmer Chair, upper Magic Mile Chair, and the Silcox Hut.

Check-in and day-of registration starts upstairs at 9:00am at the Wy’East patio, overlooking the finish line. Timberline Lodge will provide a hotdog bar with cold beer and soda featuring Mt Hood Brewing Company's finest around 11:30am. The preliminary awards ceremony will be around Noon. The course is a single clockwise loop, starting out front of Wy'East Lodge and finishing under the Wy'East patio. You can find a Garmin map of the course here.
