Thanks goes out to Kevin from X-Dog for all his support Sunday after putting on an epic Pine Hollow Paddle Saturday. Thanks to Kim of Anglers Restaurant and Lounge for preparing the post-race food, and supplying the karaoke entertainment Saturday night. Thanks to Frank and everyone at the Campground, and the fine folks at Camp Morrow. Thanks, also, to the Historic Balch Hotel, and to Chris, Basil, and the Wamic Fire Department crew for keeping everyone safe and on course.

A big thank-you goes out to Kalvi, Aaron, Lyssy, Harlan, Jeanne, Gary, Badass, Gina, Dave Thack, Doug, Jeff, Unsafe Dave, and Curtis.

See you all at the Timberline Mt Run, and Multnomah Falls Trail Run.

run course

run course

The run course is a 6K / 4-mile off-road loop around Pine Hollow Reservoir.

This is a friendly open-water swim. Wetsuits are permitted. The second swim for the Pumice Man event is an out-and-back from the Transition Area, just around the same buoy.

Directions from Portland: Heading east via I-84, take the last exit at The Dalles, Exit 87, and follow signs onto HWY 97, towards Bend. Go south on this highway for about 30 miles until you get to a flashing yellow light, where you turn right. Continue straight on Tygh Valley Road, pass the General Store on your left, and where the main road veers left, stay straight and drive onto Wamic Market Road, following signs to Wamic and Pine Hollow. After about 4 miles, turn right at Ross Road. After a few miles the road ends at a stop sign: turn left here onto the Pine Hollow Access Road, then turn right into the campground.

From Bend: Heading north on HWY 97, go north 68 miles to Shaniko Junction. Turn on HWY 197 towards The Dalles, and go 32 miles to the flashing yellow light. Turn left here, at Tygh Valley, take Wamic Market Rd (between the storage building and the tavern) and follow signs as above to Pine Hollow Lakeside Resort.

Compete with a Stand-Up Paddle board or a Kayak in a circut around the lake, do the half-mile Fun-Float (costumes and creative design awarded) on any human-powered craft without oarlocks, or just kick back and enjoy the festivities.
